I met many inspiring and creative people during my PR career working for companies like The National Theatre and ITV. But it was during my years heading up the PR department for a leading business publisher that I became an addict of authors and non-fiction books! With a bookshelf bowing with leading entrepreneur bios, NLP guides and management advice, launching an agency specialising in non-fiction was inevitable (and no, it hasn’t improved the bookshelf situation any).
With a lot of hard work and several awards under my belt (thank you), I now have a strong team of amazing publicists around me. A typical day for us includes brainstorming ideas, reading, talking to authors, writing releases, more reading, calling journalists and not to mention fighting with a mountain of review copies to send to eager journalists. But we love what we do and we all share one (slightly cheesy but very important) goal, to represent brilliant books that help people to work and live a little bit better.
