The Book Publicist to lead PR for new book by top vogue model

The Model Manifesto (02 May 2019), is an A-Z anti-exploitation manual for the fashion industry. Written by Vogue model Leanne Maskell, this candid book reveals the secret side to modelling and aims to empower and protect models from financial, physical and emotional exploitation.

The book offers practical advice to keep wannabe models safe: finding the right agency, creating a portfolio, avoiding exploitation, staying safe while working aboard, the role of social media, avoiding hidden agency expenses and knowing your own legal rights.

In the wake of #MeToo and #MyJobShouldNotIncludeAbuse, the book comes at a pivotal time for the industry. We are excited to be chosen to run the PR campaign to help share Leanne’s inspiring message and personal story.

In the first week, we have secured opportunities with The Times, Grazia and Independent. We will be going out to the broadcast media in the next week to offer interviews around the book.
