The weekly book publicity highlights from the team at The Book Publicist

Just like the sun last week, our authors and founders have been shining away in the media with 47 pieces of press coverage in 7 days. Featured in national newspapers, websites and top lifestyle and business magazines, our clients have been sharing their expertise on a whole range of topics, from football to science experiments. Book PR highlights include: The lovely Sophie Sabbage, author of poignant new book Lifeshocks and How to Love Them, took the Daily Mail by storm, arguing that the shattering moments in life we can’t control or predict are those that are key to making your life better. Despite England losing in the semi-finals, former footballer Kevin George appeared in the Guardian and MSN UK discussing his new book Soccology and sharing his expertise on how the psychology of the England football team could change your life. Simon Hayward, author of The Agile Leader, was also commenting on the England football team this week, with the focus on how people can create Gareth Southgate-style super teams in the Telegraph Online. Doctor of Happiness Andy Cope was featured in Western Mail and South Wales Echo, sharing his insight on how being sad can actually be part of being happy – who knew! Graham Harris, author of Against the Grain, was reviewed in Flybe’s inflight magazine Flight Time as one of the inspirational books that can help you build your business. With plastic-free July in full swing, the Pearly White Club’s eco-friendly and sustainable toothbrushes appeared in Health and Wellbeing magazine’s feature ‘7 ways to be kinder to the environment’. Founder of Healthy Whole Me, the inspirational Dani Binnington, spoke out in the Western Mail about how she was able to find a way to control her mind and body again after a huge life-changing event. It was great to see Michelle Carvill, author of Get Social, in Flybe’s inflight magazine Flight Time discussing how important it is for businesses and CEOs to engage with social media. Michelle was also featured in People Management talking about why social media is a relatively untapped resource for employee engagement. The author of memoir Into the Woods and Out Again, Dina Glouberman, was featured in Psychologies magazine talking about the best restful remedies and how you can get your groove back after a career burnout. The top SME Culture Leaders of 2018 were judged by Chris Dyer, author of The Power of Company Culture, and featured in Real Business this week – congratulations to all the winners! Our new client Dr. Michelle Dickinson, author of The Kitchen Science Cookbook, was featured in the Sun in Scotland, showcasing her exciting and innovative scientific recipes for kids to try out over the summer holidays. How exciting is that for a week in books publicity! Bring on the next week of coverage …
