The weekly Book PR highlights from the team at The Book Publicist

We’re kicking off another month of storming book publicity here at The Book Publicist with a whole host of our authors and founders in the media. From the Daily Express to Your Healthy Living to Velocity (CitiJet’s inflight magazine), our clients have been buzzing from double-page spreads to homepages. Book PR highlights include: As England celebrated a nail-biting victory against Colombia, former footballer Kevin George has been featured in the Daily Star twice this week, first using his book Soccology to discuss how England players are thriving in the game and then providing advice on England’s penalty tactics (we like to think it was Kevin’s expertise that helped England break their abysmal penalty shoot-out record!). Appearing in the Daily Express, Kevin also shared his knowledge on how Harry Kane’s mental approach to the pressures of taking a penalty has made him the perfect role model for his fellow team mates. It was great to see Andy Cope, Doctor of Happiness, in Take a Break Magazine discussing the monetary value of happiness and why we should all attempt to see it. It’s been a wonderful week for Henriette Kress, author of Practical Herbs! She appeared in Best magazine talking about herbal remedies and she was featured in Your Healthy Living magazine providing readers with her expert tips and tricks on how herbs can help with hair loss. An article by Mona Alyedreessy, founder of Azara, has been featured in Northern Life where she shares her exciting, natural recipes for skincare produces you can make for free at home. With Brexit looming, Siddharth Shankar (CEO of Tails Trading) was featured in a three-page spread in Velocity magazine advising readers on whether their Brexit strategy needs an export strategy. Chris Dyer, author of The Power of Company Culture, was in Raconteur (The Times) this week sharing his insightful thoughts on how engagement can be maintained when exporting company culture. A lovely review of Chris’ book was also featured in Velocity magazine. We all love makeover shows and this week Janina Scarlet, author of Therapy Quest, was featured in Grazia explaining the interesting psychology behind why makeover shows make us happy-cry. And, finally, Graham Harris’ book Against the Grain was reviewed in Flybe’s Flight Time magazine – what a lovely way to end the week! What a week we all had – we hope to see it continue for the rest of the month (along with the sunshine)!
